Fili TV Plan Upgrade/Downgrade Policy

INTRODUCTION

If you purchased your plan through our official channels, you shall be able to renew or upgrade your current plan at any time.

Plan upgrading is carried out on our official website or app and you shall be able to enjoy the new service immediately after your payment has been successfully processed. On the other hand, plan downgrading is not available during a valid service period.

When upgrading to a higher level plan, you shall pay the corresponding plan price and get a full period of service validity. The remaining valid days of the current plan shall be converted and added to the upgraded plan. For example, if you are upgrading your current Basic Monthly plan (1 screen) to a Standard plan (2 screens), the remaining valid service days of your current plan are converted according to the conversion formula explained below.

 

VALIDITY CONVERSION

The valid-day conversion strategy is mainly related to the amount of simultaneous devices per plan and shall be carried out as follows:

Plans with equal amount of devices
When upgrading to a plan with an equal amount of devices, such as Premium Monthly to Premium Annual, the remaining validity period shall be automatically added to the total valid days of the new plan.

Example: If you have a Premium Monthly plan, the duration of the new valid service period shall be 365 days plus the remaining days of your current monthly plan.

 

Plans with different amount of devices

When upgrading to a plan with a different amount of devices, the validity period will be calculated by applying our conversion formula (see Item 3).

Example: If you currently have a 1-screen Basic Monthly plan and upgrade to a 2-screen Standard Monthly plan, the conversion formula shall be applied to the remaining days of your monthly plan. The duration of the new valid period service shall be 365 days plus the result of the conversion formula.

 

Upgrade – Conversion formula

When upgrading to any plan, the following formula is applied to determine the new remaining valid period that shall be valid as soon as the payment goes through:

New plan valid days + (Remaining days of current plan * Conversion rate†) = New valid period

Example: Your current Basic Monthly plan has 20 remaining days. Once you upgrade to a Standard Monthly plan, the new validity period shall be:

30 + (20 * 0.5652) = 42

 

Downgrade

Bear in mind that you shall be able to downgrade to a 1-screen plan only when your 2-screen plan expires.
Additionally, a multi-device plan cannot be upgraded via recharge code until the current plan expires.
